Summary
Jeff talks about Subversion, considered by many to be the the successor to CVS.
Abstract
Subversion is a source control system similar to CVS. The goal of the Subversion project is to build a version control system that is a compelling replacement for CVS in the open source community. The software is released under an Apache/BSD-style open source license. Subversion has been designed from the start to alleviate many CVS headaches while preserving its logical user interface. The design is modular and does not re-invent the wheel. For example, rather than creating a new storage layer, the repository is stored in a Berkeley Database. Subversion is simple to use and very flexible. It does come with some new concepts though and these will require small shifts in your thinking from your CVS source control methods.
